Thông tin thuốc là một hoạt động thiết yếu, là chìa khóa để sử dụng thuốc an toàn và hợp lý. Việc tiếp cận và cập nhật thông tin thuốc để nâng cao chất lượng chăm sóc sức khỏe là điều không thể thiếu trong thực hành lâm sàng và ngay tại các nhà thuốc. Nguời dược sĩ dù ở cương vị nào, trực tiếp trên lâm sàng hay không phải có kiến thức thông tin về thuốc và có trách nhiệm cung cấp thông tin về thuốc.
