Korea United Pharm. Inc. – KUP, was founded in 1987 in Korea and has grown to become a recognized manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and functional foods both domestically and globally.

R&D and Production Activities

KUP has established a research and development center about 2 hours from downtown Seoul. This center acquired KGMP (Korea Good Manufacturing Practices) certification in 1992, when it had many opportunities to grow into a global corporation.

This investment has given KUP the ability to produce high-quality products in categories such as over-the-counter drugs, prescription drugs, functional foods and personal care products. family health care, especially inventing anti-tumor drugs, antibiotics, etc.

In 2021, KUP was the first company to develop the first inhaler for the treatment of Covid-19. Recently, KUP has been researching new treatment methods and gene therapy. Currently, the group has exported products to more than 30 countries around the world.

In Vietnam, KUP established a factory in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, Binh Duong Province in 2001 with an investment of 5 million USD. KUP Vietnam has the capability to produce dosage forms such as hard capsules, soft capsules, film-coated tablets, ointments, and creams.

At present, KUP Vietnam has more than 200 product registration numbers. Well-known products that almost everyone notices or tries once: Soft capsules of Homtamin Ginseng, which contain aloe vera, minerals, and vitamins in addition to Korean ginseng extract, are prescribed to the elderly and physically weak as a means of aiding in recuperation from fatigue, stress, weakness, and dystrophy.

In terms of community activities, KUP Vietnam organizes the annual Homtamin Scholarship Fund to support medical, pharma, and musical students.
